The first number is the width of the tire measured in millimeters from sidewall to sidewall. The second number after the slash mark is the aspect ratio. The bigger the aspect ratio, the higher the sidewall is. The R stands for its radial construction, while the last number is the wheel diameter. Learn more here: Understanding Tire Size
